What Time Does the Stock Market Open and Close?
The United States stock market includes two major stock exchanges. These are the New York stock exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASDAQ). The regular working hours of these stock markets on weekdays are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. The markets also have several half-days. The markets close at 1:p.m. on half-days.

Is the Stock Market Open on Weekends?
The NYSE and NASDAQ are open from Monday to Friday. The stock exchange market is closed on weekends but the electronic communication networks (ECNs) have made it possible to do trading even on weekends. Some countries diverge from this routine and are open on Saturday or Sunday. The Tel-Aviv stock exchange in Israel remains open on Sunday with timing between 9:59 a.m. to 3:39 p.m.
